The Warren County School District will operate on a 2-hour delay tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22nd. When determining the need for a delay, the district carefully considers many factors to prioritize the safety and well-being of our students. We ask that you ensure your child is dressed warmly and avoid having them wait outside longer than necessary in the cold weather. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Stay safe, and we look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

Weekly Math Fun: Interactive Number Line Fun! 🎉📏
This week, let’s get kids moving while they practice math with a fun, hands-on number line activity! Use a number line to explore addition, subtraction, and number sense, all while keeping learning active and engaging.
Why It Works:
By incorporating movement into math practice, children strengthen their number sense, improve problem-solving skills, and enjoy a fun, kinesthetic learning experience.
Stay tuned for next week’s activity, where we’ll challenge kids to solve creative math riddles that make them think and laugh! 🤔✨

Congratulations to Adam Strandburg, WAHS senior, as our C.L.A.S.S. Act Emerging Leader nominee for the month of January 2025.
If selected by the IU5 and their sponsors, Adam will receive a $1000 scholarship with the potential of receiving another $5000 at year-end. Congratulations on a well deserved nomination Adam!
Adam has been a leader among his classmates and has proven in his academic and extracurricular endeavors that he is worthy of being a C.L.A.S.S. Act Nominee.
Adam has been an excellent academic student at WAHS, taking a challenging courseload while being involved in numerous extracurricular activities. Adam has maintained an excellent GPA while taking every advanced science and math course offered as he plans for a future career as a Mechanical Engineer.
Adam has been active in Key Club, Varsity Football, the Flannel Panel, and Varsity Tennis. Adam is well respected by both peers and adults and is a model student to have in the building.
In addition to school sponsored activities, Adam has been involved in a number of organizations outside of school. He has participated in the local Boy Scouts of America, earning the rank of Eagle Scout. This is no small feat, and through this journey, Adam has honed many valuable skills that will undoubtedly serve him well in the future. At the same time as working on his Eagle Scout rank, he has volunteered at hospice, the soup kitchen, and with the Special Olympics. These experiences have taught him the importance of empathy and teamwork, both qualities that are essential for any engineer looking to make a positive impact.
In his spare time, Adam likes to hike, bike and build. One of his favorite things that he created was when he forged and welded a fire poker out of rebar. This ability to create and craft things from scratch is just one example of how he will excel as a Mechanical Engineer.
Adam is an excellent representative for Warren Area High School, the city of Warren, and Warren County as a whole. In conclusion, Adam Strandburg is a student who combines academic success with a deep-seated sense of social responsibility.

Experiment with different patterns—alternate colors, shapes, or sizes to make unique designs. Challenge your child to predict what comes next in a sequence or create their own patterns.
This activity is a fantastic way to develop math skills like recognizing sequences while encouraging creativity and fine motor development.
Stay tuned for next week's activity, where we’ll explore a fun and engaging way to bring math to life through movement!🕺📐✨
