Fourth grade made mold fossils with salt dough this week in science class! Can you spot the plants, dinosaurs, and shells?
Salt Dough
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
1/4 cup water (add more a tablespoon at a time until it is a play dough consistency)
After rolling our your dough, and create your fossils scene, leave to air dry for a day, then bake at a low temperature for one hour on each side.
THESE SHOULD BE SENT HOME THIS WEEK! Join us this summer for our fun youth track and field camp! Open to all and everyone from anywhere entering grades K-7! Last year we were blown away with the number of participants! We have moved the meet up an hour this year and switched up a few things to ensure the meet runs smoother and most importantly remains so FUN for all ages!
While the Third Grade trip to the Woodmobile on Thursday was canceled, Ms. Check and Mrs. Jones did their best to bring the Woodmobile to SAES. We started with discussions on our local forests, animals, and industry. Then, following a big desk clean out and a picnic lunch, we made our own recycled paper! Special thanks to Ms. Turk for letting us borrow her paper making supplies!

Friday we celebrated Sheffield students who follow PRIDE behavior expectations! All students got to watch an elephant's toothpaste demonstration. Grades 3-5 made lava lamps! Unfortunately, Mrs. Hornstrom was too busy participating with the Kindergarten-2nd graders to get pictures of their beautiful watercolor secret codes. If your student brought one home, please add your photo in the comments!
Don't forget to wear your favorite Star Wars shirt tomorrow for Star Wars Day!
