SAES students were surprised with a special visit from "The Cat in the Hat" to kick off "Read Across America" Week while they enjoyed delicious Green Eggs and Ham, broccoli Truffula trees, and Red Fish, Blue Fish Jello for lunch last Friday! Special thanks to our amazing Nutrition team for creating such special forever memories for our students.

We’ve created an Online Safety Quiz: wcsdpa.onlinesafetyhub.io/parent/rules-agreements/online-safety-quiz to help parents and guardians test their knowledge in categories that are a top priority for student digital wellbeing. This 5-minute quiz covers online safety risks in social media, gaming, adult content, and more, aligning with our ABC model for online safety: safe Access, clear Boundaries, and Communication. After completing the quiz, parents can click on links to relevant resources in the hub to help broaden their understanding of these key topics.

Mr. Mulligan’s 4th Grade Class is loving our Eureka! Game Show unit! Students are competing in teams to learn all about inventors and inventions to complete their Wheel of Inventions Challenge! During the past two weeks, students brainstormed and collaborated in their teams to create an invention that would help remove paper waste. Stay tuned to see our team’s final inventions!

Kindergarten is learning about the importance of farms as a source of food and other products! These farmers had a blast during a cow milking activity following the With a Moo Moo hear lesson in the Farms unit of CKLA! 🐄

The Groundhog did not see his shadow and the SAES cafeteria celebrated with these adorable pudding cups for for lunch!
Students who got lunch from the cafeteria this week had an opportunity to vote Yes or No on whether the groundhog would see his shadow or not. A winner was picked during lunch today from the No bucket- Congratulations Blake! Thank you Nutrition and our awesome Sheffield cafeteria staff!
