The City of Warren Playground Program has canceled the field trips scheduled for today, July 10th, at the Crescent Park and Lacy Park Playgrounds. As a result, Summer Food will be available today at both locations.

Weekly Math Fun: Road Trip Math! šš§®
Headed out on a summer adventure? Make the most of your travel time with math games on the go! Road trips are the perfect setting for fun, low-prep activities that strengthen math thinking while you watch the world go by.
In addition to license plate math (see image), try these:
šŗļø Toll Booth Tracker ā Predict how many toll booths youāll pass or how much youāll spend. Add the amounts along the way!
ā½ Gas Budgeting Game ā Estimate how much gas youāll need. Have your child track mileage, price per gallon, and total cost at each stop.
š Snack Sale Challenge ā Pretend youāre running a snack shop in the car. Assign prices to items and have your child ābuyā them using mental math.
š¦ Road Sign Geometry ā Look for shapes in road signs (octagons, triangles, rectangles) and track how many of each you find.
š Skip Count Challenge ā Pick a number (like 3 or 5) and skip count each time you see a billboard, red car, or road sign.

Our partner at the Sheffield Memorial Park has informed us that they will be closed today, Tuesday, June 24th, due to the continuing hot weather. Summer Food Service meals will be available at Beaty Warren Middle School as scheduled.
The Park expects to be open for the remainder of this week.

Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) Dates & Times
The Warren County School District is again offering the federally funded Summer Food Service Program this summer. Funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and administered through the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the program provides free meals and snacks to all children 18 years of age and younger at approved sites across Warren County. No registration or income requirements are necessary.
Sites include:
ā Beaty Warren Middle School, breakfast and lunch, Monday through Friday from June 9 through Aug. 8. Breakfast hours are 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. with lunch from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
ā Warren Area Elementary Center, bagged breakfast and lunch, Monday through Friday from June 9 through Aug. 8. Breakfast is from 8 to 8:30 a.m. with lunch from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
ā Lacy Park & Playground, bagged lunch only, Monday through Friday from June 16 through Aug. 8, from 11:30 a.m. to noon.
ā Crescent Park, bagged lunch only, Monday through Friday from June 16 through Aug. 8, from 11:30 a.m. to noon.
ā Sheffield Township Park, bagged lunch only, Monday through Friday from June 16 through Aug. 8, from 11:30 a.m. to noon.
All sites will be closed from June 30 through July 4 for the Fourth of July holiday.
Children are encouraged to arrive early at playground sites to help staff order the appropriate number of meals. All meals must be eaten on-site, and menus will be available online at www.wcsdpa.org under the āSummer Food Service Programā tab.. The district will announce any changes to dates, times, or sites via signage, its website, mobile app, and the Warren County School District Facebook page.
The program is a collaboration between the Warren County School District, city of Warren and Sheffield Township. Organizations offering summer programming and interested in becoming a Summer Food Service Program site can call Jones at 814-723-6900 or email jonesm@wcsdpa.org.
